The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Oracle applications database administrator to join our team to work on managing complex Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle database environments accessed by over 15,000 users globally. You will join the data platforms team that provides database support and data services to Arup and play a key role in the delivery of several technically challenging projects.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintenance of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 payroll and HRMS environments
- Oracle E-Business Suite patch application, cloning multi-tier environments, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Ensuring database environments are performing according to agreed SLAs
- Oracle database and WebLogic middleware administration
- Capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, integrity, security, planning, development, backup and data recovery of DT’s database environments
- Deploying High availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Managing technology risk, governance and compliance
- Performance tuning of SQL and PL/SQL code
- Database migrations to Azure Cloud
- Providing basic Linux and Windows Operating systems support
- Providing second and third line support
Requirements
- In-depth experience in Oracle E-business Suite (R12) Payroll and Oracle Database Core Technology, including Data Guard, RMAN and ASM
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle Weblogic Middleware support and maintenance
- Ability to configure complex database environments comprising of failover and high availability
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL development and performance tuning skills
- Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Basic Linux administration
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills
- SQL Server administration, AWS and other Cloud database services experience
- Working knowledge of ITIL service management processes
- Previous service delivery and service management experience
- Oracle Virtual Machine knowledge
