What's your background?

I spent my formative years in Auckland, New Zealand, before embarking on a journey of education and self-discovery that took me to Dunedin. There, I specialized in Consumer Food Science and later transitioned into the dynamic field of marketing management. As I pursued my studies, I also gained practical experience by working part-time in the hospitality sector. During this time, I ventured into the world of SEO sales and even delved into the food industry with Walter and Wild.

My path then led me to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) when I was searching for a graduate program opportunity. I secured the last spot in the program, which was based in Canberra, and eagerly made the move. Despite the challenges posed by the onset of COVID-19 as I began my role in Canberra, I wholeheartedly embraced the chance to explore diverse areas of the business.

During my initial rotations, I worked in federal sales and later moved to the Compute BU. However, in an unexpected twist, I made a significant leap into the field of Human Resources. This shift was recommended by the prior HR Graduate Manager, who recognized my potential and suitability for the role. Demonstrating my adaptability and willingness to embrace new challenges, I relocated once more, this time from Canberra to Melbourne. I propelled into my current dual role as HR Operations and Graduate Manager for Australia and New Zealand at HPE. In this capacity, I oversee HR operations while spearheading transformative initiatives for our young talents.

This role not only allows me to see the direct impact of my efforts on our organization but also provides the creative freedom to innovate and improve processes, making each day dynamic and fulfilling.
