Our established and vibrant team is looking for a Graduate Drainage Engineer to join in 2023. You will work with a diverse team and a range of clients from local government, authorities, and private development. Day to day tasks would involve assistance in:

  • Catchment study analysis including hydrological estimation of rainfall
  • Hydraulic performance of a closed and open drainage systems
  • Design new and existing drainage systems including piped network and infiltration basins
  • Able to incorporate water sensitive urban design for water quality control
  • Design hydraulic modelling of waterway around transportation infrastructure and floodway’s
  • Undertake flood plain modelling for high rain falls
  • Understanding of groundwater implications on surface water management design.
  • 0-3 years’ experience working on a range of water drainage or planning projects
  • Assist Senior and Project Engineers, along with the wider team, including other disciplines, if required
  • Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities 
  • Prioritise workloads whilst ensuring our clients’ needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleague's both locally and across the international Stantec team.
  • Build and develop your professional profile and expertise both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of service to Clients.
  • Execute project design, documentation and contract administration services including regular project reviews
  • Be accurate, diligent, and professional.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants.
