Gender Equality at 2degrees

At 2degrees, our purpose is Fighting for Fair – whether that be for our people, our customers, our partners or the wider community. We are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive environment so that our people can perform at their best.

Achieving greater gender balance is key area of focus (an industry-wide challenge for the tech sector). To address this, we have implemented targets for gender balance in senior leadership, and have launched a specific initiative aimed at attracting, developing and retaining women in technology. Our goal is to make 2degrees “the best place for women to grow their technology career.” 

We established a Women in tech community to build connections for women in technology (and across 2degrees) through inclusive events, successfully launched a speaker series and have delivered seven events to date and set up a sponsorship with Women in Engineering (WEN) to attract early in career women talent.  We provide support to enable our women to grow and thrive - through mentoring, development opportunities and building inclusive leadership capability across the organisation. Development opportunities include the Big Bloom for women hackathon, leadership development through the Springboard Trust and the Women Rising leadership and learning Programme. To recognise women for their achievements, we established our internal Women in tech awards. Recipients receive prizes aimed at furthering their career development, are profiled internally and externally and are nominated for external awards.  

In recognition of these efforts, in 2023 we are proud to have been awarded the Reseller News Women in ICT Company Award for Diversity and Inclusion.
