From graduate there is a clear step to engineer. Beyond that, all of the senior and principal engineers have substantially more industry experience and typically have come from other companies.

It sounds like there is a lot of room for promotion and moving around the company. However I have also heard that if you are good in one position, it can be hard to move as the team/project will need you to stay.
