Recruitment Process
Our recruitment process is designed to ensure transparency and fairness. We believe in getting to know you beyond your resume, assessing your skills, experience, and the value you can add. Our process follows these steps:
- April – May Application submissions (cover letter, CV, academic transcript)
- June – phone screenings with HR
- July – face-to-face interviews with Hiring Manager/s, online skills and strength assessments & reference checks
- August – Employment offers are made
To be considered for a graduate or work experience role, applicants will
- Have a keen interest and passion for geotechnical engineering, geology and groundwater;
- Possess excellent written communication skills;
- Be able to communicate honestly and clearly with colleagues and clients;
- Be a passionate learner and adaptable to change;
- Demonstrate a positive 'can-do' attitude;
- Competently operate effectively both in a small team environment and independently;
- Enjoy working outdoors and have a flexible approach that may include operating onsite and in remote locations;
- Ambition for career progression and to eventually train and mentor others;
- Have a Bachelor of Engineer (BE) degree or similar; and
- Full valid Australian driver's licence class C.

Graduate Reviews
- The hours are good as well, being able to start early and finish early instead of being forced to stay in till 5:30 every day.
- Culture is great. Everyone gets along, and we have monthly BBQs to keep up morale.
- Very good. There are a few women working here, and there’s representation of around eight different nationalities at the office.
- Managers are easily accessible in the office, review my work, and give feedback on things I could improve.
- I think my pay is pretty reasonable for a first-year grad fresh out of uni.
- It can get pretty boring at times, not a whole lot of work for me, especially during the slow periods.
- I think there are like 10 levels of engineers you can move up, but the process for moving up isn't very clear.
- Fieldwork side of things is still not fully confident, mainly because I haven’t done much.
- Sustainability efforts seem to be limited to recycling bottles downstairs.
- Not a whole lot of interest in the work, and sometimes it feels like I’m just asking for things to do.
