A really productive team culture that values hard work and team work

Family like culture in the office, everyone is willing to help in anyway, lots of laughs outside work hours is much the same.

Mainfreight culture is completely unique. It is well documented and deeply instilled in each and every branch. But each branch applies the culture in a different way.

The culture in our team is great, our BM does an awesome job in making it a fun and enjoyable environment. We all work well as a team and have some good laughs everyday.

We have a very flat structure at Mainfreight. It means that communication and decision making is fast. The team are open and keen to help you learn. Start as a team and finish as a team regardless of whether you are in the operation or in the office.

Treat people in a way you wanted to be treated

The people and the culture are what make this place so special, Its unique and makes for a great environment

Easily second to none. The pillars are no joke and the best teams/branches are the ones that really hone in on the different company values, and incredible to see this prominently across the entire network and this is driven by high quality leaders and management and filters through to the wider team.

No hierarchy. Open plan offices. Everyone eats lunch together & managers don't feel like your managers. Friday drinks & lots of morning tea shouts, Mr Whippy & coffee carts. No job descriptions everyone's willing to jump & help wherever needed. Have a work futsal team games played after work & go for lunch runs.

Great culture, team orientated. In office: chatty, we all eat lunch together away from our desk forces us to engage in conversation. Great ideas have come from this. after hours: really good have sporting teams setup that we play together ( from other offices as well) touch, netball and even soccer. Hierarchy is quite flat. I can email our general manager tomorrow with an idea and he will take it on board

I would say the culture at my branch specifically isn't as good as it could be

Great in the office and outside, lots of young people with a lot in common.

The culture here at Daily Freight is awesome. Having come from Mainfreight Auckland, which is a large branch, I have certainly noticed an improvement in my team morale and teams working well together. In terms of Branch Manager's, Noreen is awesome and helps out the sales team a lot. In general, the hierarchy is so different to other companies- e.g. you can sit down and have lunch with anyone and walk into the National office at any point, so the leaders are easy to access and communicate with. As a team for sales we socialise a lot and do things outside of work, which I know a few of the other teams do also.

No job descriptions allows for a fairly loose and flexible structure. The culture is amazing - everyone is very welcoming and inclusive. Multiple annual events are organised throughout the year outside of work hours for team to enjoy - kids Christmas party, Round the Bays, Touch Tournament (just to name a few). During work hours, it is a complete team environment - everyone is valued and we all work together to achieve the best we can as a branch. Lots of opportunity to socialise with 'colleagues' to a point where they become genuine friends.

Really strong team environment where there is always an open forum for discussion. Team members get along well both in the office and in a social setting
