Sales Account Manager

Account Manager. Looking after existing accounts and trying to bring on new business. Be available to assist the team and network.

Sales calls are the majority of my day. Going around and talking to customers is great fun. Different faces and different stories.

My role is fairly broad day-to-day wise. However, I feel like I have the capacity and the desire to take on additional responsibilities. Unfortunately, the limitations lie in the size of our branch and the volume of work that we handle collectively.

Coordinate with transport and airfreight teams. - Pick-ups from the port, airport and internal branches - Tracking customer's shipments - Liaising with the customer on their imports - Billing and invoicing

Co-ordinate courses , admin and a little bit of recruitment as well

It is diverse no day is quite the same

Being in sales, a lot freedom in what we are trusted to do, but with that freedom comes great pressure with sales targets and activity.

Role is fairly autonomous & flexible. Have a few core responsibilities that keep my day busy.

I really enjoy being an Account Manager and being on the road. I have a number of customers in a range of industries and have learnt so much. I like being able to be a trusted advisor and find solutions for my customers.

Looking for new customers, creating proposals and rates, escalated customer queries and complaints, customer reporting, look into customer accounts and making adjustments where necessary.
